Inup\u00a0Park (KR) translates life experiences and feelings of discomfort in his work, such as loneliness, anxiety, and depression. In his \u201cgum\u201d series, Park explores the theme of physical and mental tension;<\/p>\n
\u201cHumans walk every day from about a year after birth.\u00a0Walking is so natural but when you are extreme\u00adly nervous, surprisingly, even walking becomes unnatural.\u00a0The first thing you learn in the military is the ceremonial training of walking, turning sideways, and turning backwards. Extreme ten\u00adsion makes the arms and legs on the same side move at the same time, making you look like a fool.\u00a0I chew gum when I get nervous.\u00a0Gum expresses tension.
