Anton Reijnders

Anton Reijnders (NL) - former Head of workshop and studios of EKWC and author of The Ceramic Process - used his residency for part of his in-depth research on the eutectic logic behind glaze. Eutectics allow glazes with a specific flux, alumina, and silica content to melt at relatively low temperatures and also influence their crystallization rate. Reijnders developed an alternative method to the Seger Formula (UMF), that can better predict the behavior of glazes. He is now working on a publication on both subjects.
