Linda Sormin (CA) wanted to find new ways of approaching her work, to take real risks, to truly challenge herself and make things at the edge of technical and physical limitations – pushing scale, kinetic aspects of making, and unconventional working methods. Sormin created some pieces with care and tenderness, and others with neglect, to observe material response and to see how far she could stretch the fragility of the pieces.
