Artist in residence
The European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC) is dedicated to the artistic and technical development of ceramics in art, design and architecture.
Each year, our international artist-in-residence programme offers sixty professionals from all creative disciplines the opportunity to deepen their practice and explore new directions. Their open, experimental approach often leads to valuable exchange and innovation, qualities we also pursue in our collaborative projects with cultural, educational, corporate and social partners.
At the same time, we invest in the future of ceramics through dedicated research programmes and by transferring knowledge to new generations. This makes EKWC an internationally acclaimed cultural hub where knowledge of ceramics is continually being developed and passed on.
EKWC is situated in a former leather factory in Oisterwijk. Three times a year, the building, including the studios, is open to the public free of charge during the EKWC Test Case.
