Gemma Luz Bosch

Composer Gemma Luz Bosch, born in Spain and residing in Utrecht, has been researching the sound of clay. She is fascinated by the many possible timbres and textures that this natural material can produce. During her residency at EKWC Gemma developed the ‘𝗦𝗹𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝗳𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗲’, a sound installation that will be played by the water of the Weerdsluis in Utrecht. Gemma also worked on her project ‘𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵’ which explores the sonic properties of dried clay tubes disintegrating in water.
