Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and the European Ceramic Work centre (EKWC) are gladly inviting experienced Spanish artists of all disciplines – including design, music and architecture – to apply for a challenging ceramics residency.  You don’t need to be experienced or even familiar with ceramics. We do ask for an experimental attitude and an imaginative work plan with a strong concept. What do you dream of achieving in twelve weeks’ time that wouldn’t be possible without EKWC’s facilities and expert advice?

The residency, which will take place from August 13th to November 4th, 2026, is open to Spanish nationals exclusively. You are welcome to apply for this exciting twelve-week residency using the button below.  The deadline for applications is May 31st, 2026.

There is one residency available, made possible by AC/E. The selected candidate will be provided with return flights from their place of residence in Spain; accommodation during their stay, technical advice, and access to the facilities of the EKWC. You will also receive a budget for firing and material costs of up to €1,250 incl. VAT, in accordance with EKWC’s prices submitted to its partners. Finally, at the end of your stay, you will receive €2,500 from AC/E (conform the corresponding invoice) to cover living and production expenses incurred during the residency.

The selected artist will be announced on the websites of AC/E and EKWC by June 10th, 2026.
